This is the rod I use for all my CARP fishing on all waters worldwide . I also use it for most other species . It has a very forgiving action - allowing you to turn big carp away from snags without hook pulls , and to enjoy playing small carp; yet it is able to land the biggest carp that swims (it has even landed catfish over 100lb and black carp over 120lb!). But this is not a stiff casting rod - it has a superb-action and is the perfect carp-playing tool. The blank took me 6-years to design and is made by one of the world's top blank makers . Each rod is then hand-built by one of UK 's best rod builders . The rod is 3-piece to allow ease of transport, and each joint is over-fit for added strength . There are no flat spots in the joints and this rod bends in a beautiful even curve from tip to butt. We have not tried to save money by cutting down on the number of rod rings used... this rod has no less than nine evenly spaced guide rings that allow the mainline to follow the full curve of the rod, yet does not hamper casting capabilities.

The normal test curve of this rod is 3lb , but the power-band can far exceed this at full lock when you need to turn a very strong carp away from snags...and without fear of hook pulls! The length is 13ft to allow extra leverage to keep carp away from marginal snags etc, yet it is extremely lightweight and will cast your baits a long, long way!

This rod is a shorter and more powerful rod than the Supreme , and is mainly used for extremely large or powerful fish... such as catfish, sturgeon, big mahseer, Siamese carp, etc. This is not a stiff poker rod, but has a beautiful smooth and progressive action that will bend right through to the butt. For fighting big fish, even in strong currents, this is the rod to use. The test curve is approximately 5lb . I can confidently say that it will land any freshwater fish that swims , yet it will transmit every turn and tail thrust to the angler...allowing you to enjoy every part of the fight.

The Supreme is my main rod used for carping, but when I am targeting big catfish or other giant species, the Mega is the only rod I need to take!
